Children’s Ministry
Our children’s ministry is designed for children who are in pre-K through fifth grade, and meets during our Sunday morning service. Children enjoy a large group lesson, small group activity, worship and games each week. In addition, our Children’s ministry hosts quarterly events for the church and community, as well as a yearly Vacation Bible School.
Youth Ministry
Our youth group consists of middle and high schoolers who meet Wednesday nights at 6:00 p.m. for large and small group lessons and discussion. The youth are also engaged in volunteering at church outreach programs and have monthly outings for additional fellowship.
Sunday School
We offer Sunday School classes for adults, middle & high school youth and children on Sunday mornings beginning at 9:45 a.m. All are welcome!
Men’s Ministry
The Refinery is the Men’s ministry at City of Refuge Calhoun. The men of the church come together to fellowship and meet the needs of the church and surrounding community. Growing together as iron sharpens iron, we strive to not only be hearers of the Word but doers of the Word.
Women’s Ministry
Rooted and Renewed is the women’s ministry at City of Refuge Calhoun. Our goal is to cultivate relationships with the women of our church, so we can encourage, support, and grow with each other in Christ. We also want to reach out to those within the church to help meet their needs as well. Some examples of our outreach to our church family are: preparing meals for families at church in need, helping shop for items for the church’s outreaches to the community, and welcoming/greeting newcomers at church.
Small Groups
Our Small Groups are a great way to get plugged in with other members of church in a more intimate setting. These are led by volunteers from our church, and focus on different faith-based series over a several week period. We currently have Small Groups meeting on Sundays at 2 p.m., Wednesdays at 6 p.m. and Thursdays at 6 p.m. with childcare provided.
